Don’t toss that TV! Beginning this month, recycling of televisions, laptops, computers and monitors will be free and convenient for all Oregonians through E-Cycles, a state-wide recycling program resulting from the 2007 passage of House Bill 2626. Check out www.oregonecycles.org.
In Lane County, recycling this material (collectively known as e-waste along with other electronics such as stereos, VCRs, game boxes and office equipment) will be more convenient to more people, and it will be free.
NextStep Recycling has been our most active local contact for the development and coordination of E-Cycles, serving on the state’s advisory committee, making sure that reuse of computers stays functionally active within the system and opening up two new locations to serve residents.....
